Method 30B Unspiked Sorbent Traps for Low Mass Emitter
Method 30B Sorbent Traps for Low Mass Emitters are available
for evaluations, Low Mass Emitter Certifications, and RATA. These
10mm extra durable 2-section sorbent traps are typically used
from a few hours to one day sampling and can be used when pulling
3-4 liters per minute flow.
Method 30B is a procedure for measuring total vapor phase mercury
(Hg) emissions from coal-fired combustion sources using sorbent
trap sampling and an extractive or thermal analytical technique.
Method 30B Testing Traps and portable Direct Sorbent Trap
analyzer are available from Ohio Lumex to satisfy strict QA/QC
procedures outlined in the method.

Traps Technical Specifications |
- Spiked/Un-Spiked 2-section Sorbent Traps availabe
in 10 mm OD;
- Iodinated, acid washed coconut shell charcoal.
300 mg on each trap section. Carefully sized to
fit the Sorbent Trap Analyzer precisely allowing
each bed to be analyzed with its plug cutting analysis
time in half;
- Low mercury background levels - less than 1 ng
per section;
- Low Mass Emitter Traps available with less than
0.2 ng per section;
- Larger internal diameter drops gas velocity inside
of the trap causing less pluggage and enables a
higher flow rate of up to 2 liters per minute without
experiencing pressure drop. Higher flow rate places
the operator in control of mercury mass loading;
- Low Mass Emitter Traps have been specially made
to allow up to 4 liters per minute;
- Easy to remove and easy to set for “leak
check” cap plugs; color coded;
- Unique sample high temperature ID ink with chain
of custody sheet in protective pack;
- Size “Calibrated” extra thick glass
for trap rigidity;
- Customized Spiking level - from 10 ng to 200,000
ng loading available;
- 10% of every spiked traps batch analyzed and
recorded for QA/QC purpose;
- Rigorous QA/QC procedures at every manufacturing
step;
- Long term storage stability - 1year; no special
storage required;
- Available immediately from stock with or without
analysis;
- Significant discounts on large quantities - contract
based orders;
- Can be used in wet and dry stacks;
- In-house analysis with same, 24 hour, or short
turnaround time.
