Acid
Gas Scrubber (can be added to any trap) |
A
section placed before the first sorbent bed. This section
is analyzed like a plug and added to the first section. |
This
section is used at sources with high acid gases in the
flue gas. When you see breakthrough or spike loss on
the traps, it is worthwhile to try this added section. |
Green
end-cap is added when this section is on the trap. |
Special
3rd section for extra spike retention |
A
special 3rd section can be made for the long term Appendix
K traps in order to get the client to go to 7 days.
The section has a stronger carbon and it is longer than
standard carbon sections. |
This
section is used at sources with high acid gases or high
temperatures where spike loss is still an issue. It
can increase client's time from 3-4 days to 6-7 days. |

Special
1st section for extra hold against
breakthrough |
A
special 1st section can be made for the long term Appendix
K traps in order to get the client to go to 7 days.
The section has a stronger carbon and it is longer than
standard carbon sections. |
This
section is used at sources with high acid gases or high
temperatures where breakthrough is still an issue. It
can increase client's time from 3-4 days to 6-7 days. |

Sorbent
trap made to be Moisture Resistant |
Any
trap can be made with a special extra long glass. In
wet sources, the extra length of the glass allows for
more space for the moisture to evaporate before it hits
the sorbent beds. This way the sorbent remains dry. |
This
traps is necessary for stacks that have very high levels
of moisture and the client is afraid of direct moisture
entrainment wetting the sorbent beds. |

Coiled
Prefilter |
Any
trap can be made with a coiled prefilter placed inside
of the trap before the first plug. The prefilter increases
the surface area of the front plug and allows the particulate
to evenly distribute itself along the prefilter instead
of plugging up the first plug. |
This
trap is necessary for stacks that have very high levels
of particulate which plug up the trap after a few days.
For sources with high particulate this allows the client
to go from just a few days before the trap plugs up
to 6-7 days. |
White
end-cap is added |
Speciation
sorbent trap unspiked |
Extra
long, durable glass, activated iodinated carbon, individual
ID, 2 types of sorbent. All traps come with an Acid
Gas Scrubber. |
This
trap is used with a cooling probe if source temperature
is above 100 C. First sorbent captures oxidized Hg,
and the second captures elemental Hg |
