Field Mercury Mini CEM 2x for Gas and Solid Samples
Description
Field Mercury Mini CEM 2x for Gas and Solid Samples
Mercury analyzer RA-915 Mini CEM 2x is designed for field on-site monitoring of Flue Gas for total mercury and analysis of solid samples. This instrument analyzes samples of coal, carbon or fly ash and is ideal for on-site performance evaluation of Mercury Control Technologies.
Technology
Real-Time continuous monitor for "total" mercury RA-915 Mini CEM is based on the analytical approach of Thermo catalytic conversion and Cold Vapor Atomic Absorption for detection of mercury with Zeeman background correction. This approach allows operation with no preconcentration on gold eliminating the associated problems. The use of multipath cell combined with "dry" converter provides highest sensitivity with minimal interferences from the combustion gas matrix. Mercury measurements take place in the heated cell zone of converter coupled to spectrometer. This prevents Mercury atoms from recombining with any species generated due to high temperature decomposition of flue gas. Measurement results are reported on the "Dry" basis, no recalculation for "moisture content" required. Also, measurements are "flow independent" in wide range. Only particulate filter and heated transfer lines required for sample conditioning system. Elemental mercury could be measured by bypassing converter introducing of flue gas directly to analyzer. Modular and rack mounted RA-915 Mini CEM units are presented on the pictures.
