Appendix K RATA Vapor-Spiked Sorbent Traps for Low Mass Emitter
Description
Appendix K RATA Sorbent Traps at a variety of spike levels are available for evaluations and RATA. When performing a RATA on an Appendix K System, these are the traps used in the Appendix K System and are specially made to match the Method 30B traps perfectly. These 10mm extra durable 3 section sorbent traps are typically used from a few hours to 1 day sampling and can be used when pulling 3-4 liters per minute flow. Custom spiking at any value you need is available. We can even spike as low as 10ng when you are performing a RATA on a very low level site. Unspiked traps are available for purchase as well.
Ohio Lumex Appendix K Spiked Sorbent Trap for Low Mass Emitter
Technology
On March 15, 2005, EPA issued the Clean Air Mercury Rule (CAMR) to reduce and cap mercury emissions from coal-fired Power Plants.
The CFR 40, part 75 - Continuous Emissions Monitoring outlined as Appendix K entitled "Quality Assurance and Operating Procedures For Sorbent Trap Monitoring Systems" enable Power Plants to use a low cost alternative to CEMMs, which have much higher capital cost, installation/certification and maintenance cost.
Use of Sorbent Traps with the Direct analysis by Thermal Method is allowed as a compliance reporting procedure by these regulations.
Mercury Emissions Testing Traps and portable Direct Sorbent Trap analyzer available from Ohio Lumex satisfy the strict QA/QC procedures outlined in the method.
