Mercury Sorbent Traps - EPA Method 30B

Simple, cost-effective method for RATA and LEE compliance testing

EPA Method 30B sorbent traps are specifically designed for Relative Accuracy Test Audits (RATA) and Low Emitting EGU (LEE) testing. Our standard 30B traps come packed for high flow. We make a specialized carbon with “zero” background Hg so that low-level sources are just as easy to RATA.

The 30B sorbent traps can be customized to the stack conditions you’re testing. They can feature a variety of specifications, including high moisture resistance, pluggage resistance for high particulate sources, acid gas resistance, high-temperature resistance, and more.

Ohio Lumex's unrivaled QA/QC, ability to customize sorbent traps to any flue gas conditions, and dedication to supporting our customers have all contributed to our status as the most widely used manufacturer in the industry.

Features
  • Large internal diameter specially packed for high flow allows a flow rate of up to 4 lpm without experiencing pressure drop or pluggage

  • Higher flow rate places the operator in control of Hg mass loading and makes it easier to target spike levels

  • Specially made with our “zero” background carbon which is imperative for Low Emitting EGU (LEE) testing

  • Durable for field use

  • Can be used in wet and dry stacks

  • Custom spiked at any level

  • Halogen impregnated carbon optimizes mercury capture

  • Every trap, as well as its chain of custody, gets an individual barcode

Available Options
  • Sorbent trap length

  • Spike levels

  • Acid gas scrubber sections

  • Filtering techniques

  • Standard or high-flow glass

  • Others depending on flue gas conditions
