What Are Organ-on-Chip Systems?

Organ-on-chip systems are advanced microfluidic platforms that replicate human organ function in a controlled laboratory environment. These systems use living human cells and dynamic flow conditions to simulate how organs such as the liver, lung, or heart respond to drugs, chemicals, and disease, providing more physiologically relevant data than traditional cell culture methods.
