Mercury Sorbent Traps - Natural Gas & Other Fuels

Gold-coated silica bead sorbent traps

gas dortmund logo.png

The gold-coated silica trap is designed for sampling and analysis of mercury in natural gas following ASTM D5954 and D6350. The gold coated silica beads prevent organic compounds from collecting and allows for extremely low-level analysis due to the near-complete absence of background mercury in gold, providing precise, accurate measurements.

Our gold-silica sorbent traps are pretreated and sealed before shipment to remove all traces of mercury. The analysis is done using atomic absorption with Zeeman background correction.

Features
  • Selectively captures mercury without interfering compounds

  • Ability to quantify extremely low concentrations of mercury

  • Zeroing process during manufacturing to remove all background mercury
